At the southeastern tip of Guanaja, the island without roads (with one exception), lies Hotel Guanaja. Here, you can explore the Mesoamerican Reef from the beach (1 minute by boat) or with the Barrier Reef Dive Center, one of the most advanced dive centers in the region. Enjoy your vacation in seclusion in your personal paradise with lovely sea breezes and endlessly beautiful dives.

Location & facilities

Guanaja can be reached by ferry or small plane from Roatán, or by small plane from the mainland of Honduras. This is followed by a short, twenty-minute boat ride in the crystal-clear Caribbean Sea, directly from the ferry station or the island's airport to the resort in the northeast.

Accommodation

7 private beach cabins, each with a balcony, air conditioning, a large bathroom with shower/WC, ceiling fan, and WiFi access. 3 large units, each with a connecting door, and a 2-room apartment with a kitchen. Hotel Guanaja offers something for everyone. All accommodations are also equipped with a laptop-sized safe, a microwave, a small refrigerator, and a coffee maker.

Sports and technical diving (including rebreather diving), snorkeling, kayaking (single and double), stand-up paddleboarding, biking, fishing (shore and boat), beach volleyball, underwater scooters, geocaching, hiking, and much more.The Barrier Reef Dive Center offers nearly new rental equipment from Mares and Deep6 (regulators and buoyancy compensators). The dive center is also equipped with a generator that produces oxygen and soda lime (sofnolime) for technical diving. Thus, nothing stands in the way of exploring the steep walls outside the reef.
