In 1965, Walt Disney was inspired by this very site during his travels through Honduras, using it as a reference for the world-famous film The Jungle Book. With a drop of approximately 140 feet (43 metres), it is only 30 feet (9 metres) shorter than Niagara Falls. The presence of artefacts around the waterfall suggests that it was once an important ceremonial centre for the ancient Maya. Enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the tropical canyon carved by the Río Lindo. We then continue to the Luna del Puente Nature Reserve for a two-night stay.
DAY 4, LUNA DEL PUENTE NATURE RESERVE / CERRO AZUL MEAMBAR NATIONAL PARK

In the afternoon, we visit a local cocoa plantation. Are you a true chocolate enthusiast curious about how cocoa and chocolate products are made?
